I recently heard about cooking up some zucchini with Worcestershire Sauce and some Italian Dressing Seasoning. However, I'd never bought Italian Dressing Seasoning before, so I wasn't exactly sure what was in it. Luckily for me, Sarah posted this recipe at Fantastical Sharing of Recipes. Since the stars aligned, I just had to give this Italian dressing seasoning (and zucchini dish) a try. It most certainly did not disappoint!
You already know how much cheaper, healthier, and better making your own Italian dressing seasoning is, especially when you control all the ingredients. Plus, you can customize to your heart's content. Maybe even use some Infused Vinegar! And don't limit yourself to just Italian Dressing - feel free to use this seasoning in your pasta, marinades, casseroles, stir fries, etc. Of course you can use it in your Italian dressing too. Afterall, it is in the name. :) Just mix 2 tablespoons of the Italian dressing seasoning with 1/2 cup oil and 1/4 cup vinegar (infused or regular).
Which mixes/seasonings do you use frequently?

Thank you! My family loves some of my homemade salad dressings, but they tell me I don't "get it right" with Italian. Maybe your seasoning formula will be the right one!
ReplyDeleteI love your "method" photos--the method is so simple, yet everything has to have photos these days, and I tend to kind of roll my eyes at that but have to admit that really looking at the way the ingredients go together makes me see the beauty in this simple recipe!
Hopefully they'll find it "gets it right." :) I definitely feel funny making some of these pictures since it's so simple, but people seem to ask for them, so why not? :)

Thanks for hosting weekly! I'm a fan of DIY seasonings and dressings as well. So much less stuff you have to stock and you can still make whatever you want for less. :)
