Morsels of Life - Honey Mustard Shrimp - A light, yet flavorful shrimp with honey, white wine, and just a hint of mustard.

We spent Saturday morning running around doing errands and grocery shopping, so when we got back, I knew we'd want something quick, easy, and of course, tasty. We also like to eat some sort of seafood on Saturdays. Fortunately for me, we had some shrimp around. Extra awesome since shrimp cook up in mere minutes. I opted to use the extra time and reduce the sauce a bit, upping the cook time to a whole 10 minutes! These shrimp are flavorful on their own, so if you're really cramped for time, you could easily skip the step. We had these honey mustard shrimp with some leftovers, but the light flavorful taste of these shrimp makes them a perfect topping for a nice, fresh garden salad. You could even reduce the sauce down and use it as a dressing. If you're not a fan of mustard (like me), don't worry. The small amount of honey mustard adds just an extra bit of flavor and not too much mustardy taste at all! The honey really brings the flavors together and keeps these shrimp light and flavorful. Don't you like how honey can do that? I know I do!

  2. My favorite honey? Actually, a local farmer had a homeschool day and the kids got to harvest their own honey. So, we have been using that and it has been wonderful! I use it in many recipes, as well as for my kids when they get a cough. Works just as well as cough syrup, but without all of the nasty "extras" put in it. :-)

  9. I try to buy my honey locally and we use it just about in everything instead of sugar. This recipe looks awesome and will have to try it once I am done my Whole 30 program as I can't have any added sugar of any kind, honey included. Although I will have to fry the shrimp first for hubby as that is the only way he will eat it.
I am now following you through all social media. Thanks for this opportunity.
