When I saw the Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Crunch Cookies, the crispy crunch first attracted me to them. I knew I had to give it a try. We used most of the Crispy Crunchies we made to make the Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Crunch Cookies, but we also found ourselves munching on just the Crispy Crunchies themselves. You can use these crispy crunchies in lots of different recipes to add a nice crunch. I'm thinking about brownies next! The "snap, crackle, pop" of the crispy crunch also added another fun dimension to this recipe.
Yield: 5 cups
|5 cups||crisped rice|
|1/2 cup||milk powder|
|4 tablespoons||butter, melted|
Note: I added a bit of cocoa powder since I wanted a bit more chocolatey flavor - you could do the same or leave it out depending on what you're making.
- Gather all materials.
- Mix all materials until crisped rice coated evenly.
- Pour mixture onto a baking tray and spread out in a monolayer.
- Bake at 275F for about 20 minutes, shaking the pan about halfway through.
