A creamy basil stew with shrimp, parsley, basil, and a bit of Cajun spice. Perfect with some Fried Green Tomatoes.

Materials:

1 tablespoon basil, chopped
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1/2 cup milk I used whole.
1/2 cup onion, diced
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cups 1 can tomatoes, diced 14-15 ounce can, with juices
1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

Methods:

  1. Gather all materials.
  2. Cook onion in butter until translucent, then add garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  3. Add in tomatoes, Cajun seasoning, parsley, and basil, and simmer about 25 minutes.
  4. Stir in shrimp, cooking until pink, then add in milk.
