Five Friday Finds #106

Morsels of Life - 5 Friday Finds

We camped near Niagara Falls over Labor Day weekend and went to see the falls. (US side only since being geniuses, we didn't bring our passports.) Maid of the Mist was nice, although by the time we got crammed onto a boat, I really just didn't want to be around so many people, or actually people in general. I definitely liked Cave of the Winds best. You get to go right up to the Bridal Veil Falls and even touch them if you want!

Hope you enjoy these Five Friday Finds! (Images come from the recipes and are pinned on Pinterest.)

General Tso’s Meatballs

General Tso's Chicken is one of James' favorite dishes, so I'm thinking I'll give these meatballs a try!

Dirty Chai Cookies

I like Chai, and James likes cookies, so let's combine the two and make some of these cookies!

Watermelon Rind Pickles

I'm thinking maybe we should make these to remind us a bit of summer in a few months. :)

Turkish Delights

Turkish Delights have always held a certain appeal to me, I'm guessing from Narnia. Maybe it's time to make some!

Balsamic BBQ Sauce

We really like balsamic around here, and I'm thinking this BBQ sauce might just be perfect for some slow cooker pulled pork!

Hope you all have a fun and delicious weekend!

  1. I never got to take the boat ride when we visited Niagara Falls. I'm with you and the too many people...not sure if I would have enjoyed it.

I tried Turkish Delight when I was in the UK with a fellow Narnia fan. I was really disappointed in it. My friend liked it, but it wasn't what I was expecting. Not sure what I thought it would be, but that definitely wasn't it. lol

  3. I'm with you there! I really didn't know what to expect when I first had a Turkish Delight, but I liked them. :) I don't know if the original rosewater is my favorite flavor, but I've had some good ones.
