I've made quesadillas before, but I always went with savory. As soon as I saw this recipe from Two Peas and Their Pod (featured on Five Friday Finds), I knew I had to try it. It's about time to switch it up and try some sweet quesadillas! Luckily for me, I had all the materials on hand. These quesadillas provide a nice contrast to your usual savory quesadillas with their sweeter flavors. The Brie perfectly complements the pear, making for a more "elegant" quesadilla. It's perfect as an appetizer, snack, dessert, or even a meal!
Yield: 4 servings
|8||tortillas||I used fajita sized.|
|4 ounces||Brie cheese, sliced|
|2||pears, thinly sliced|
|1/2||onion, thinly sliced|
|1 tablespoon||rosemary, chopped|
- Gather all materials.
- Place a tortilla on a heated and lightly greased pan.
- Place cheese on tortilla, and sprinkle some rosemary on top.
- Top with pear and onion.
- Drizzle honey on top if desired. Place other tortilla on top.
- Flip quesadilla over and heat until tortilla slightly browned and cheese melted.
