James and I have been trying "barefoot" running recently. I have to say, I still have mixed feelings about it. My legs feel a lot more sore faster with barefoot running. Oh, and the BLISTERS! On the other hand, running seems to take less effort overall. I've even noticed my "regular" running stride change a little since starting "barefoot" running. I guess time will tell!
