I didn't think I would be making asparagus since it's not really in season, but James found a nice bunch on sale, so he got some. This side is very quick and easy. Just melt some butter, add the asparagus, and squeeze some citrus on top! The asparagus was ready in less than 10 minutes.
|citrus juice||I used either lime or Meyer lemon this time, but I have also used orange in the past.|
|cheese||optional, but brie is a good choice|
- Break off woody ends from asparagus while melting butter in a pan.
- Add asparagus to melted butter and add citrus juice. I used approximately 2 tablespoons of either lime or Meyer lemon, but you could easily adjust to your preferences.
- Once the asparagus is cooked, plate, and then add some zest and/or cheese on top. I really like it with brie cheese, but unfortunately, we didn't have any at the time. :(
